Shari Lynn Benjamin, 62 of Tomah died suddenly Friday, July 24, 2026, at her home in Tomah. She was born to Gary and Linda (Harris) Benjamin on March 6, 1964, at the Tomah Memorial Hospital. She grew up in the Warrens and Tomah area and was member of the Tomah Senior High School Graduating Class of 1982. After high school she lived in Texas and Oklahoma. Shari was united in marriage to Billy Ford at St. Peter’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Clifton. Later she was united in marriage to Tom Wojnarowski. on February 18, 2007, at the Tomah Veterans Administration Chapel after being introduced to each other by his son Tommy. He preceded her in death on November 10, 2010. For many years Shari was the primary caregiver to her Mom and Dad, this was precious time that they were able to spend together. She earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Western Wisconsin Technical College. Shari was blessed with musical skills and was accomplished pianist and also played the trumpet. She enjoyed socializing with family and friends and also enjoyed spending time at home with her cat “Miss Kitty.” Shari has a funny and goofy personality and was very caring and generous. She was a person that many of her children’s friends called Mom, she was proud “grandma’ to Harper Lynn, and was very excited to becoming a grandmother to Tom Jr’s expected child. Shari was a loving mother and sister, and will be missed by all that knew and loved her.
She survived by 2 sons Derek Ford and Jason Morgan both of Tomah, a step-son Tommy Wojnarowski of Mauston, a brother Dana (Toni) Benjamin of Custer, S.D., Vikki (Jeff) Dolezal of Waterford and Kara (Terry) Burn of Moose Lake, MN, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gary and Linda, her husband Thomas Wojnarski
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, 2:00 P.M. the Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, 801 E. Monowau St. Tomah. Pastor Fran Hewuse will officiate. Burial will be in the Warren-Mills Cemetery, Warrens, WI.
