St. Paul Woman Arrested for OWI with Child Passenger in Wisconsin

Alexis Nicole Gonzales, 27 years of age, from Saint Paul, MN has been arrested by the Wisconsin
State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with one
child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Sunday May 18, 2025, at approximately 3:19 PM, A Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a
vehicle for a traffic violation on Interstate 94 near mile post 57. The Trooper observed that the
driver, Ms. Alexis Gonzales, showed signs of impairment. A subsequent investigation, including
standardized field sobriety testing, showed that Ms. Gonzales was operating a motor vehicle while
under the influence of a controlled substance. She was subsequently arrested and charged with
operating while under the influence of a restricted controlled substance while having a passenger
under 16 years old in the vehicle, possession drug paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle without a
license. Ms. Gonzales was transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary chemical test of her
blood and later released to a responsible party. The 2-year-old child was left in the care of a family
member.
