Today is the day of Wisconsin’s Statewide Tornado Drill. ReadyWisconsin is encouraging everyone in the state to practice their tornado and severe weather sheltering plans this afternoon at 1:45 and this evening at 6:45. The basement is the best shelter during a tornado, away from exterior walls and windows. For the drill this afternoon and evening, the National Weather Service will be conducting NOAA Weather Radio tests, but no statewide code will be sent out. Some communities may also choose to test their outdoor warning sirens also during the testing times.
