Clark County residents have new opportunities to get stronger and stay active as Strong Bodies program classes begin forming at locations across the county. This evidence-based strength-training program is designed to improve the health and well-being of middle-aged and older adults through safe, structured exercise.
Sessions begin as early as January 5th, with classes offered in multiple communities:
– Colby Senior Care: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., starting Jan. 5
– Greenwood Old Gym: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to noon, starting Jan. 6
– Loyal Library: Mondays and Thursdays, 10 to 11 a.m., starting Feb. 3
– Owen-Withee High School: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m., starting Feb. 3
– Granton Zion Lutheran Church: Mondays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to noon, beginning March 2
A suggested contribution of $20 helps support the program countywide, but organizers emphasize no one will be turned away for non-payment.
Strong Bodies is part of a national initiative promoting strength, muscle mass, and bone health—factors shown to reduce the risk of chronic conditions like diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, and arthritis.
