Staff at Tomah Health has begun to receive the second dose of the COVID vaccine.
While there are a number of myths circulating about the vaccine and a second dose, Tomah Health physician assistant Jerry Fushianes says getting the vaccine and the second dose is critical to fighting the pandemic.
Fushianes said it is unfortunate that there’s so many misconceptions and untruths about the vaccine.
Tomah Health continues to work cooperatively with the Monroe County Health Department to vaccinate eligible recipients. More than eight-hundred people have received their first COVID vaccine and over one-hundred hospital staff has completed the series including the second dose.
The Monroe County Health Department is coordinating scheduling of the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible residents per Wisconsin Department of Health recommendations.
