A Tomah man was arrested Saturday after firing his pistol outside a Wilton Bar. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office was called around 11:49pm to the scene of a bar on Main Street in Wilton. The caller reported that 52-year-old Curtis Goulet of Tomah was involved in a minor incident, went outside and got a pistol from his truck, and fired two shots while outside the tavern. Goulet fled the scene, and his truck was later spotted by a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper on Highway 131. Goulet fled from officers, and continued towards his home. Tire deflation devices were deployed, and Goulet was taken into custody without further incident. He was booked into the Monroe County Jail on charges of attempted homicide, recklessly endangering safety, operating a firearm while intoxicated, operating a vehicle while intoxicated 3rd offense, fleeing the scene, and disorderly conduct.
