A Tomah man has been sentenced to life in prison for beating a three-year-old boy to death. Thirty-seven-year-old Marcus Anderson won’t be eligible for parole. W-K-B-T/T-V reports he was found guilty of first-degree intentional homicide by a Monroe County jury Wednesday. Investigators say Kyson Rice was covered with more than 200 bruises from the beatings he had received. The child died at Gundersen Health System Hospital, The jury convicted Anderson of 11 counts, including first-degree intentional homicide and child abuse. Anderson has maintained his innocence, but prosecutors and medical examiners say the victim was tortured.
