Troy Anthony Stumblingbear “Hṷṷwą Coonį”, age 30, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away on December
6, 2023. He was born August 23, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Chavo Stumblingbear and Fawn
Smith.
Troy graduated from Black River Falls High School in 2011. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and
playing video games. He was always watching sporting events and was a die-hard Chicago sports fan. He
had a way with words and used them when composing his music.
Troy is survived by his father Chavo Stumblingbear; his mom, Fawn Smith; children, Talaya, Malcolm,
and Luna; sister, Calista Stumblingbear (Damek Walker); grandma Eunice Winneshiek; uncle Robert
Smith, and numerous other extended family and relatives.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Stumblingbear and uncle Tyler Decorah, and other loved
ones.
Traditional Native American Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Dells Dam
Community Center (W7015 Busch Road, Dells Dam, WI). Clayton Winneshiek will officiate. Visitation will
be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Dells Dam Family Cemetery in
Neillsville, WI.
