Vickie L. Nichi, age 70 resident of Kenosha, died Monday, April 18th, 2022, at her residence with her husband and friends at her side.
Vickie was born on March 31st, 1952, in La Crosse, WI. She was the daughter of the late Lee and Lanice (Thorson) VanSlyke.
She was educated in the schools of La Crosse and the schools of Kenosha. She attended cosmetology school in Madison and attended classes at Carthage College.
On June 16th, 1984, she married Ron Nicki at Pigeon Lutheran Church in Pigeon Falls, WI.
She was employed at the Flair Styling Studio in Kenosha and at KHDS (Kenosha Humans Development Service) as a program manager. She also worked at Bell Therapy.
She loved to play tennis and was an avid skier. She enjoyed working on the family tree and was a talented rosemaling painter. She loved spending time with her daughter and was a member of the Sons of Norway.
She is survived by her husband Ron of Kenosha and her daughter Kristin of New Mexico. She is further survived by brother and sister in-law, Rick and Julie Nicki of Arizona; Aunts and Uncles, Mary and Bob Johnson, Madison Avis Knutson, Linda Trotter, Gerald Thorson, and brother in-law Doug England, all of Pigeon Falls, WI and many cousins.
A graveside service for Vickie will take place 11:00 am Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Upper Pigeon Creek Cemetery with Pastor Jenny Hatleli officiating.
