Wesley “Sniper” A. Cloud, age 37, of Black River Falls, Wisconsin passed away suddenly on November 26, 2021. He was born July 8, 1984, son of Shelley Thundercloud.
Wesley grew up in Black River Falls, WI and was a 2002 graduate of Black River Falls High School. He was a jack of all trades from working slot technician at Ho-Chunk Gaming- Black River Falls to seasonal positions at the cranberry marshes and roofing. He was a great father who loved his children and was a stay at home dad when needed. He would take them to the flea markets, go on road cruises, and take them anywhere to keep them entertained. In all his years, he was a great athlete from a spectacular baseball pitcher and shortstop, to an avid golfer and excelled at many sports from darts to hockey, basketball and disc golf. Wesley was a baseball card collector, a straight shooter, always ready to laugh with company, and generous with his time by spending hours making sure his entire neighborhood had freshly cut grass. He never met a stranger that wasn’t his friend, sometimes butting heads but was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed on and off the field and green.
He is survived by his children; Kenyon, Emjay, Kylene, Kaydin, Kira, Kassidy, and Kandace; mother; Shelley Thundercloud; Aunt; Kelley (Roger) Thundercloud; Uncles; Tracy Thundercloud and Dana (Karena) Thundercloud; Siblings; Andi Cloud, Winston Rave, Raquel Greendeer, Nikki Thundercloud, Tama Greendeer, Sheldon Cloud, Lydia Cloud, and India Thundercloud; as well as the mother of his children, Heather Hopinka; many nieces and nephews; and numerous other family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lawrence “9-9” and Edith Thundercloud, as well as Delphine Blackcoon and Harry Cloud.
Traditional services will be held on Wednesday, December 1st from 10am-11:30am at the Cloud homestead on Wa Ka Ja Huk Road. Wesley will be laid to rest at Decorah Cemetery.
