Western Technical College and Gundersen Health System will host a Paramedic Pinning Ceremony for graduates of the first cohort of the Paramedic Trainee Program on Dec. 20 from 3:30-5:00 p.m. at the Western Technical College Kumm Center located at 411 7th St. N., in La Crosse.
The Paramedic Trainee Program is a new venture between Western and Gundersen Health System, where current EMT employees at Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance are paid to attend a 12-month Paramedic program through Western. The program is specifically designed to address paramedic shortages in the region. A reception will follow the ceremony.
