The Wisconsin Department of Health Services announced that more people in Phase 1B will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccination starting Monday. The group includes education and child care staff, people enrolled in Medicaid long-term care programs, some public-facing essential workers, non-frontline essential health care personnel, and facility staff and residents in congregate living settings. Recently, the state has been receiving more doses of the vaccine, and DHS expects that to increase further on Monday. In the press release, the DHS also reports that nearly 50% of Wisconsinites 65 years and older have been vaccinated.
