The Wisconsin DHS has told Wisconsin vaccine providers to put a pause on administering the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine. The CDC & FDA issued a statement earlier today that said that six cases of a rare and severe type of blood clot called cerebral venous sinus thrombosis have been reported in the U.S. out of 6.8 million Johnson & Johnson vaccine doses given. The DHS says that vaccine providers should hold onto the vaccine doses until the federal review has been completed.
