Wisconsin National Guard Bids Farewell to 107th Maintenance Company Ahead of Overseas Deployment

About 150 Soldiers with the Wisconsin National Guard’s 107th Maintenance Company will be honored at a deployment send-off ceremony Saturday at noon at Herrman Elementary School in Sparta. The unit, headquartered in Sparta with detachments in Viroqua and Camp Ripley, Minnesota, is preparing for an approximately yearlong deployment to the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility. The ceremony will formally recognize the Soldiers’ departure and service. The Wisconsin National Guard includes more than 9,000 Soldiers and Airmen who support federal missions worldwide while remaining ready to respond to emergencies across Wisconsin and the nation.
