Wisconsin school districts are encouraged to apply for new state grants aimed at preparing high school students for careers in advanced manufacturing and construction.
The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development says up to one million dollars is available through the Wisconsin Fast Forward program. Individual grants will range from five thousand to one hundred thousand dollars.
The funding can help schools improve training facilities, purchase tools and equipment, and provide instruction to prepare students for in-demand technical careers.
The program also aims to help students reduce future education costs through dual-enrollment college credits, industry-recognized certificates, and technical endorsements on high school diplomas.
School districts must submit applications by 3 p.m. on Monday, November ninth.
