The Wisconsin Senate has approved a redistricting plan based on the 2020 U-S Census. Capitol observers say it is similar to the one approved 10 years ago. Monday’s vote was 21-to-12 along party lines. The Wisconsin Assembly will conduct its own vote Thursday. Both chambers are controlled by Republicans. Democratic Governor Tony Evers has promised he will veto the maps. The standoff between the two parties suggests the issue will be finally decided in the courts.
