Jackson County Behavioral Health is offering two free virtual presentations September tenth, focused on emerging drug trends, social media, artificial intelligence and youth safety. The morning session, from 8:30 to 10, is for professionals and school staff. “High in Plain Sight: Current Drug Trends” will be presented by nationally recognized speaker Jermaine Galloway, also known as “Tall Cop.” A community presentation, “The New Reality: Social Media, AI, Drugs and Youth Safety,” will run from 6 to 7:30 that evening. Retired law enforcement officer Dave Gomez will discuss social media traps, sextortion, AI misuse, drugs and ways adults can protect young people. Jackson County Behavioral Health is excited to offer two free virtual presentations on September 10, 2026, and we would love to have you, your staff, and the people you serve join us! These presentation were made possible with grant dollars that the division applied for and received.
These presentations focus on issues that are changing quickly and affecting youth, families, schools, and communities—including emerging drug trends, social media, AI, sextortion, and youth safety. We arranged for both presentations to be virtual to make it easier for busy professionals, families, and community members to participate without having to travel.
Professional Presentation:
High in Plain Sight: Current Drug Trends

Presented by Jermaine Galloway, “Tall Cop,” a nationally recognized speaker and former law enforcement officer.
This training provides practical information about current drug culture and trends, indicators of alcohol and drug use, concealment methods, emerging substances such as Delta-8 and Delta-10, and prevention and intervention strategies.
Free and open to professionals and school staff serving the Jackson County community.

The New Reality: Social Media, AI, Drugs & Youth Safety

Presented by Dave Gomez, a retired law enforcement officer and member of the Tall Cop Speakers Network.
Dave brings 18 years of law enforcement experience, including 15 years as a School Resource Officer and experience with Internet Crimes Against Children investigations. His presentation will address the very real challenges youth and families are facing today, including:
- Social media traps and sextortion
- AI misuse and online safety
- Current drug trends and youth culture
- Real-world challenges facing kids and families
- What adults can do to better recognize risks and protect youth
