Andrew Carl Sternaman, 60, of Black River Falls, died unexpectedly on Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Andrew was born in Evanston, Illinois on April 10, 1965, to John and Janet Sternaman.  He spent his formative
years in Park Ridge, Illinois, before moving with his family to Black River Falls, WI in 1978.  Andrew was a
1984 graduate of Black River Falls High School and later attended UW-Stout.
Andrew was a hard-working individual who spent most of his career employed by Sternaman Oil, the family
business.  Later, he started his own business, Superior Asphalt, which provided asphalt paving and sealcoat
services.
Outside of work, Andrew enjoyed hunting and fishing, along with spending time with friends and family.  He
was a devoted son, brother, father, and grandfather.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, John.
He is survived by his mother, Janet Sternaman; siblings Susan Babcock (Bob Bradovich), Judith Brauner
(Patrick), Edward Sternaman, and Rebecca Jelinek, daughter Michelle Besser (Will), grandsons Gabriel and
Nolan, nieces Kelsey Zoromski, Kaitlin Noggle & Stephanie Cowles, nephews Jim Babcock, Nathan Babcock,
Paul Brauner, Matthew Brauner, Justin Jelinek, Joey Sternaman, and Tommy Sternaman, great nieces Paisley
Babcock, Kassandra Babcock, Whitley Brauner, Natalie Brauner, Maelie Cowles, and Selah Cowles, as well as
great nephews Trey Babcock, Ethan Popp, Charlie Brauner, Bridger Zoromski, and Atlas Zoromski.
Andrew’s greatest joy in the last few years was spending time with his grandkids, who adored their “Paw Paw
Undy.”
A memorial service for Andrew was held on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Torgerson’s Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
