Anita Marie (Semb) Scoville, 69, of Osseo, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by
family on October 1, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Anita was born in West Bend, WI, on January 7, 1957, to Andrew E. Semb and
Florence A. “Peggy” (Yarnall) Semb. The youngest of three children, Anita grew up in
Kewaskum, WI, with her siblings, Michael and Patricia. She graduated from Kewaskum
High School in 1975 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in special education
and elementary education from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.
Anita dedicated many years of her life to health care, with a desire to make a difference
in people’s lives and a particular focus on rehabilitation. For more than 30 years, she
worked as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor at the Trempealeau County Health
Care Center in Whitehall, where she was able to help and encourage many.
Anita had many passions in life, but family was always at the heart of everything she
did. She took great pride in raising her two daughters, Tracy and Kristin, being their
mother was the role she cherished most. She poured her love into her girls and took
great joy in watching them grow, and build their lives. She treasured the time spent with
her children and grandchildren and loved making memories together. Whether it was a
holiday, a birthday, a family trip, or simply a random day spent doing something fun,
those were the moments she lived for. At home, Anita embraced the traditions that
made family life special, especially the holiday traditions she carried with her from
childhood and passed on to her children.
Beyond her family, Anita enjoyed many things that brought her happiness. She loved
getting lost in a good book and cherished traveling and exploring the beauty of the
country. National parks held a special place in her hearts; she particularly enjoyed
visiting Glacier, Zion, and Bryce Canyon, where she marveled at the breathtaking
beauty. Anita also loved traveling to New York, where she enjoyed Broadway
performances and watching the Rockettes.
Anita was a member of Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was always
willing to lend a helping hand. Over the years, she taught Sunday school, helped serve
church luncheons, and served on the church council.
Anita is survived by her daughters, Kristin (Bryan) Dohms and Tracy Scoville; her three
grandchildren, Taleia Walker, Malik Walker, and Malaki Walker; her brother, Michael
(Sharon) Semb; and her sister, Patricia Baumhardt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew Semb and Florence Jeziorski; her
stepfather, Bernard Jeziorski; and her brother-in-law, David Baumhardt.
