Audrey Ann McKeeth, 94, of Galesville passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025 at her home surrounded by family. She was born on December 3, 1930 in York, Wisconsin to Oscar and Helga (Lovlien) Larson.
Audrey grew up in Pigeon Falls with six sisters and one brother. In 1948, she was honored as Queen of Whitehall at the very first Ice Carnival. Audrey married John McKeeth Jr. on August 25, 1951 in a candlelit church ceremony at the United Lutheran Church in Pigeon Falls, Wisconsin. Audrey and John made their home in Galesville, where they raised a family of ten children. Over the years, she worked in various local cafés and played an active role in supporting her community. Later in life, Audrey and John worked side by side at Ecker’s Apple Farm, making apple pies and caramel. Audrey loved entertaining family and friends, delighting them with her cooking and hosting. Audrey was passionate about Wisconsin sports, always cheering on the Badgers, Packers, and Brewers.
Audrey deeply cherished her 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, who filled her with immense pride. She took great joy in teaching them how to cook and bake, passing down cherished family recipes and treasured rolling pins.
Audrey is survived by her children and their families, David (Debe) McKeeth, children, Nathan, Sam (Jody), Hannah (Pete), Aaron (April) with children Deliliah, Archer, and Temperance, and Kaitlin (Adam); John (Candi) McKeeth, children Zach (Amanda), Dane (Steph); Jeff McKeeth’s daughter, Melanie (John) with children, Sawyer and Lylah; Mary (Dave) Hanson, children, Teah (Matthew), Kari (Jon) with daughter, Emma, and Emily (Pablo); Martha McKeeth; Ted (Kris) McKeeth, children, Kyle, Kameron (Emily), and Chandler (Kayla); Heidi McKeeth, children, Maria (Ryan), and Garrett (Alyson); Pete (Cheryl) McKeeth, children, Kayla (Nic), Brittany (Kolton) with daughter Lakyn, and Josh (Kayla) with son Ridge; Amy (Jeff) Lien, children, Amanda (Trevor) with son, Myles, Lyle, Anna (Ryan).
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, John McKeeth Jr., her parents, Oscar and Helga (Lovlien) Larson, In-laws, John and Cora McKeeth Sr., her sons, Jeff McKeeth, Kevin McKeeth and her grandson, Conner McKeeth. Along with other close family members and friends.
A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held at Dickinson Family Funeral Home (401 Main Street, Onalaska) on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm.
