The first event of this year’s Jackson County Fair was the crowning of the 24-25 Miss Jackson County and her court. Lauren Beck, of Black River Falls, was named Miss Jackson County. She is the daughter of Mary & Jon Beck. Miss Jackson County looks forward to building life-long connections with her court and the community.

“This year, I’m looking forward to spreading my positive energy in the community, and truly getting to know the ins and outs of what our community has to offer.”

Ava Gilberg-Stroud was named First Attendant and the Second Attendant title was given to Rylea Lindow. Gilberg-Stroud and Lindow are both from Black River Falls. Kaylie Bass, from Melrose-Mindoro, was voted Miss Congeniality by her peers. The evening also included the naming of Frannie Everson as the 2024-25 Jackson County Fairest of the Fair. Everson is the daughter of Wendy and Dan Everson of Hixton. Along with Miss Jackson County and her court, Everson, as the Fairest of the Fair, will be busy at this week’s fair.

“Then, I will go to different kinds of agricultural events throughout the year; and then in January I will compete at the state level for the Wisconsin State Fairest of the Fair, in the Dells.”

The Jackson County Agricultural Society honored past fair members, Shirley Wagner, Craig Kubaske, and Bailey Norgaard, and Jerome Laufenberg was given a special gift as this year’s Fair Book Dedicatee. Outgoing court members Katie Seldebauer and Ella Halverson were awarded the Jackson County Agricultural Society Scholarships. And Noelle Bergerson was given the Kelsey Jo Olson Memorial Scholarship. The Jackson County Fair runs through Sunday. A complete schedule of events can be found at jacksoncountyfairwi.com.
