Betty Joann Yule, age 94, of Alma Center, WI, formerly of Neillsville, WI, went to heaven on
Angel Wings on February 21, 2026.
She was born on April 17, 1931, in Eau Claire, WI, the daughter of Herbert and Elizabeth
(Jurgens) Erdman. She was united in marriage to Jim Yule on January 21, 1948. They lived most
of their married life in Neillsville, where she worked at Prock’s Grocery Store, The Farmer’s
Store, the IGA Food Liner, and the Neillsville Bakery.
Betty loved babies and children, dancing with Jim, baking, sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by 4 children, Judi (Mike) Karczeuski of Casselton, N.D., Carolee (Patrick)
Schnur of Merrillan, WI, Pam (Marty) Oestreich of Taylor, WI and John (Peggy) Yule of
Fairchild, WI, 8 grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and a brother, Jim (Jean) Erdman of
Augusta, WI.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Jim on March 8, 2010, a daughter, Mary on
October 2, 2024, and a granddaughter, Missy on October 27, 2019.
A Memorial Service for Betty will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 6, 2026, at the Gesche
Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor John McHann of the United Methodist Church in Alma
Center, WI will officiate. Interment will be in the Neillsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 6th at the Gesche Funeral Home.
