The Black River Falls High School Alumni Association recently awarded three $2000
scholarships to Black River Falls High School graduates for their post-secondary academic
achievements, according to Grace Nordahl, the organization's vice president and scholarship
committee chair.
The recipients include Lyndsi Laufenberg, Kenley Brown, and Emma Goodenough.
Laufenberg, of Hixton, is a 2024 graduate of Black River Falls High School and is a
marketing major at the University of Wisconsin- Green Bay.
Brown, also of Hixton, graduated from Black River High School in 2025. She recently
completed her freshman year at Edgewood University in Madison where she is pursuing a
nursing degree.
Goodenough, of Black River Falls, graduated from Black River Falls High School in
20219. She will be a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where she is pursuing a
nursing degree as well.
