Carlton “Carl” John Zeller passed away December 24, 2025 at Mayo
Hospital in Eau Claire, WI.
Carl was born July 2, 1949 to Ruth (Mitchell) and Alois Zeller. Carl grew up
in Black River Falls and worked the majority of his life at Hart Tie and
Lumber in Black River Falls, except when he was 16 he worked at The
Real McCoy’s Restaurant for a short while.
Carl loved watching baseball games as well as football. He enjoyed family
get togethers, and cookouts, at which he’d always say “one of each!”.
Carl is survived by his sister Caroline “Lynn” Klink; brother Francis (Donna)
Zeller; sister-in-law Deb Zeller; nieces Rose (David) Ebner, Clover (Scott)
Hartung, Chris (Pam) Klink, Robbie (Rene) Wilson, Kevin Zeller, Renae
(Jeremiah) Ash, Connor (Tera) Zeller, Alexia Zeller; and many great nieces
and nephews.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; sister Roselyn Zeller;
brother Robert Zeller; brother Jerome Zeller; brother-in-law Don Klink;
nephew Trevor Zeller; and nephew John Newberry.
A memorial service will be held Friday, January 9 at 3pm at Torgerson’s Funeral Home in Black River Falls. Friends may call during visitation from 1pm until the start of services.
