Complaint Filed Against Christenson – Stolen Cattle

The District Attorney’s Office has also charged Jennings D. Christenson, 20, of Sparta, with two counts of felony theft. According to the criminal complaint, Christenson stole cattle on two separate occasions on May 28, 2024, and attempted to sell them. The stolen cattle were recognized, recovered, and returned to the owner without Christenson receiving any payment. Christenson spoke to law enforcement and turned himself into the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office on May 30, 2024. Today, the circuit court authorized his release from custody pursuant to a signature bond with conditions. An adjourned initial appearance is scheduled for July 1st.

Christenson retains his presumption of innocence until otherwise adjudicated in a court of law.
