Connie J. Bergerson, age 72, of Black River Falls passed away on December 24, 2022 at Trempealeau
County Health Care Center in Whitehall, Wisconsin.
Connie was born on March 27, 1950, in Whitehall to Leonard and Edna (Gomsrud) Olson. Connie grew
up on the family farm in Northfield. Connie graduated from Whitehall Memorial High School. Connie
married Lee Bergerson at Northfield Lutheran Church; they later divorced. They had one son, Lance.
Connie worked at Wal-Mart and Arrowhead for many years and had many friends there. She was a kind
and generous person. She volunteered for the American Legion and enjoyed making lefsa for the Sons of
Norway.
Connie is survived by two granddaughters, Megan and Lauren Bergerson.
She is also survived by her brother Michael (Brenda) Olson of Hixton; sisters Linda (Gene) Hjerleid of Eau
Claire, Sonia (Richard) Waller of Black River Falls, and Lori Anderson of Arcadia; as well as many nieces
and nephews.
Connie was preceded in death by her son Lance in 2017; her parents and grandparents; her mother-in-
law Joan Bergerson and father-in-law Gordon Bergerson; and brothers-in-law Dale and Duane
Bergerson.
Connie’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Trempealeau County Health Care Center who
took great care of Connie.
A celebration of Connie’s life and luncheon for sharing memories will be held Friday, January 6, at noon
at the American Legion Post 200, 421 West Highway 54, Black River Falls, Wisconsin, with Pastor Jenny
Hatleli officiating.
