On September 1, 2025, the Wisconsin State Patrol and Jackson County Sheriffs Office responded
to a two-vehicle roll-over crash on Interstate 94 westbound at mile post 123, south of Black River
Falls, in Jackson County. Initial investigation indicates both vehicles were traveling westbound when
they struck. One of the vehicles then travelled into the ditch and overturned. The driver of the
overturned vehicle was ejected and fatally injured. The other driver was transported by ambulance
from the scene and suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation by
the Wisconsin State Patrol.
