David F. Potts of Alma Center passed away March 1, 2023.
He was born April 25, 1958 in Black River Falls, Wisconsin to John B. Potts and Betty A Dalby. He lived
many places growing up, but loved the Duluth and Bayfield area best, where he could be sailing.
David met Dorothy in 1993, married in 1995, and shared 29 very happy years together. They full-time
RV’d for several years and then settled down doing their woodworking side by side.
David was a man of many trades; to list a few of his tasks over the years: working on the ski hills, at the
boat harbor, semi-truck driver, police officer, MP in the Army, motel and restaurant manager, hotel
auditor, excavator owner and operator, storm chaser, private investigator, work camper, and airline
worker.
David is preceded in death by his father and mother; daughter Kaylah Sadie Potts; and his pattern and
maternal grandparents.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; children, Lawrence Jensen of Altoona, Tricia Jensen of Eau Claire,
Kimberlee Potts; granddaughter Kaitlyn Jo and Baby Jenson; one brother, Jeff Potts, of Duluth, MN; and
nieces and nephews Danielle, Eric, Rachel, and Zack.
