Delores Sue Chandler, 87, of Hixton passed away on February 19, 2025, at Grandview Nursing
Home in Blair.
Delores was born July 17, 1937, in Centralia, IL to James and Ecco Cruthers. She was married
to Kenneth Chandler on September 4, 1954, in Black River Falls. Delores worked at various
jobs in her life. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends, and was an avid polka dancer.
Delores is survived by 4 children, Donald (Cindy), Jeff (Diane), Brian (Pam) and Beverly (Kevin)
Morden; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 5 step-grandchildren; brothers Bruce,
Nels; sisters Sharon, Sharlene, Lola, and Kim.
She is preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Chandler; parents James Cruthers, and Ecco
and Nels Johnson; sister Jana; brother Jack; and grandchild Carlie Chandler.
Funeral services for Delores Chandler will be held at 11am on Friday, February 28 at the
Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home (128 S. Hoffman St., Hixton WI) with Rev. Terry Marg officiating.
Friends may call during visitation from 10 a.m. until the start of services. Burial will take place at
the York Pigeon Creek Cemetery, followed by a luncheon at New Hope Community Lutheran
Church.
