Several professionals reported receiving calls from a man claiming to be a DSPS investigator, falsely alleging their license was linked to illegal activity. The scammer often uses a fake case number and mimics the DSPS phone number on Caller ID. DSPS emphasizes that they will never request payment to restore or clear a license. If you receive such calls or messages, do not provide personal information—hang up and report it to the FBI’s Internet Crime Center or the FTC.
