WIC is currently issuing farmers’ market checks to eligible WIC participants. Each eligible WIC participant can receive a total of $40 for the summer to purchase select locally grown fruits, vegetables and cut herbs at approved farmers’ markets and farm stands. Active WIC participants can call the Monroe County WIC office at (608) 269-8671, if interested in receiving these checks. The last day to spend the checks is October 31, 2024.
