On October 5, 2024, at about 5:32 PM, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a
residence in the Town of Springfield on a report of a person pinned between equipment.
On scene, first responders located an adult male who had been pinned between a tractor and
RV. The subject was freed but died on the scene. The person was identified as Peter Suckut,
age 79, Clear Lake, Wisconsin.
The case is still under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by
Taylor First Responders, Taylor Fire Department, and the Black River Falls Ambulance.
