On February 27, 2025, at about 9:33 PM, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office received a report
of a single vehicle crash on County Road T near Pine View Rd. in the Township of Garfield.
At the scene, Deputies located the crashed vehicle and found the driver to have been ejected. It
was believed that the driver had not been wearing a seatbelt. The driver was deceased and no
one else was found with the vehicle. Based on witness statements, the vehicle was traveling at
a high rate of speed and failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck
trees before coming to rest.
The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Osseo Fire Department, First Responders, and the Mayo
Ambulance service.
The name of the deceased is being withheld pending family notification.
