Geraldine “Geri” Hulda Zahn, peacefully departed this world in her sleep on February 4,
2024, at the age of 88. She was born in Richland Center, WI, on July 5, 1935, to
Charles “Ernest” and Ella Conant. Geri grew up in Black River Falls, WI where she met and married Charles E. Zahn in 1953. For the majority of her life, Geri called Milwaukee, WI, home, working at Square D
and retiring from Allen Bradley after 27 years of service. She had a passion for travel,
gardening, and most importantly, spending quality time with her cherished family and
beloved friends. An avid collector of antiques, Geri possessed an uncanny ability to
uncover treasures, making every garage sale an adventure.
Geri was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings, Mildred, Shirley,
Charles, and Eldo, as well as her youngest son, Sterling Zahn. She leaves behind a
legacy of love and memories that will be cherished by her children: Charles (Joanne)
Zahn, Ellyn P. (Steve) Lane, Pamela Zahn (Leroy Plauster), Steven (Rebecca) Zahn,
and daughter-in-law, Claudia Zahn. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 8
great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.
In celebration of Geri’s life, her family invites all who knew and loved her to join them on
February 16 at the Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home in Hixton, WI. Visitation will be held
from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a service and a meal to honor her memory.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Geri’s name to Agrace Hospice or Portal,
Inc, Grafton, WI. for the support they gave to her brother, Eldo. Geri’s generous and
loving spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her, and
her legacy of love will continue to inspire generations to come.
