At 8:50 AM on Saturday September 09, 2023 a crash occurred on US 12 WB at US Highway 12
approximately 1/2 mile north of Gilbert Road in JACKSON County near MERRILLAN.
The male driver of the vehicle, identified only as an 81 year old man from Humbird, sustained life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance
to a landing zone and then flown to Marshfield Hospital. A medical condition may have been a factor
in the cause of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the WI State Patrol.
