Margaret (Martin) Green, 74, of Warsaw, Missouri, formerly of Merrillan, Wisconsin passed away on June 9th, 2020 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
Margaret was born in Newcastle, England during WWII to a British and an American Soldier, Lyle and Lilian (Williams) Martin on June 29th, 1945.
Margaret came as an infant with her mother to America on the S.S Washington in March of 1946. They went on to join her father’s family farm in Humbird, Wisconsin where she was raised. She married her best friend and love of her life; Lawrence Green on June 18th, 1966 in Merrillan where the two had first met.
Margaret is the mother of Vicki, Laurie, Lawrence Jr. and Beth. She is the grandmother of Steven, Randi, Rikki, and Kasey, and the great-grandmother of Aidan and Aaron.
Above all, she cherished the time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed playing the piano, singing, country music, playing cards, and Kismet.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Lawrence of Warsaw, Mo; one son, Lawrence Jr. of Warsaw, Mo.; three daughters, Vicki Simonis (Mark Peterson) of Black River Falls, Laurie (Craig) Smith of Merrillan, and Beth (Eric) Doers of Hixton; sister, Lilian Marie (Dennis) Ruda of Merrillan and brother, Lyle Robert of Humbird; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and a large family in England.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Lilian; and her nephew Christopher.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Gile Memorial Park in Merrillan, WI. A short memorial service led by Pastor Meg Erickson will take place at 1:00 p.m.
