Inez S. Davis, 85 of Tomah, died on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Tomah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Tomah. She was born on November 7, 1939, to Forest A. and Gertrude A. (Brueggeman) Cox. She and her 10 siblings grew up on a farm outside of Wilton. Inez was a member of the Wilton High School Graduating Class of 1957. She was united in marriage to Claude “Ned” Davis, Jr. on February 7, 1959, in Black River Falls. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2022. Together they started their life in Tomah. Inez and Ned lived in the Lemonweir area of Tomah most of their lives. Inez worked on the assembly line at Toro for over 15 plus years. Later in life, Inez worked for a variety of local fast-food restaurants, lastly at Culver in food preparation. She cherished the friendship she made along the way.

As a young person, Inez enjoyed working in the barn alongside her father, creating fond memories she has cherished throughout the years. Ned and Inez enjoyed spending time together taking afternoon drives, enjoying the scenery and each other’s company. Later in life, she enjoyed cooking with her son, John. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

She is survived by her children, Patti (Pete) of Baraboo and John Davis of Tomah, grandchildren, 6 grandchildren, Stephanie (Justin) Mitchell, Janna (Seth) Seymour, Ethan (significant other, Alex), Mallory, Matthew (Sabrina) Peterson, Kari (Nathan) Hanson, Amy (Rick) Peterson, and Joe (Krista) Peterson, 18 great-grandchildren, Colby, Dyllan, Jayden, Isaak, Tessa, Jax, Van, Mia, Raven, Madison, Lucas, Hannah, Sarah, Kylee, Ryan, Jeremy, Bowyn, and Rory, siblings, Caroline Nelson, Lila (Steve) Nofsingor, and Forrest (Connie) Cox. She is further survivied by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ned, 2 children, Todd Davis and Mary Kay Davis, siblings, Edith (Harold) Cox, Eugene (Faye) Cox, Beatrice (Dick) Will, Beaulah (Richard) Raiten, Carl Cox, Vera Lee and June (Eugene) Severson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, 1:00 PM at Sonnenburg Family Funeral Home, Tomah. Pastor Robert Gerke will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
