Cindy Altman, Jackson County Clerk and Administrative Coordinator say she will step down from her posts effective March 20th. Altman told the Board of Supervisors her decision was made after careful consideration, saying that the combined responsibilities of Clerk and Administrative Coordinator are “beyond what one person can reasonably sustain;” noting the demands of the job are impacting her health. She thanked the board and department heads for the trust placed in her over the past five years as Clerk and Admin Coordinator. Altman has worked for the county for the past 12 years.
