On Sunday, July 20, 2025, at about 10:20 a.m., the Jackson County Communications Center
received a phone call from a female subject regarding a possible domestic related incident in
progress involving her fiancé. While enroute to the call it was discovered that the male subject
suspected of being involved with the domestic incident is currently a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office
employee working as a corrections officer. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office requested immediate
assistance from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office due to the conflict of interest involving the
county employee.
Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived on scene to maintain peace and order until
Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office arrived on scene. The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office
investigated the alleged domestic abuse incident. Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office arrested the
male subject involved with the incident. The male subject that was arrested is Christopher J. Loecken,
age 23, living in the Melrose, Wisconsin area. Loecken is a Corrections Officer for the Jackson
County Sheriff’s Office. Loecken was transported to the Trempealeau County Jail and charged with
domestic related battery, strangulation, and disorderly conduct. Loecken will be held in the
Trempealeau County Jail until his court appearance.
The Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office is the lead agency investigating the domestic related
incident. Loecken has been placed on administrative leave pending criminal investigation.
At this time, Christpher Loecken retains his presumption of innocence until adjudicated otherwise in a
court of law.
