Jackson County Sheriff Duane M. Waldera has announced his candidacy for reelection, seeking to continue his nearly 20 years of service in the role. A five-term sheriff with 33 years of law enforcement experience—all in Jackson County—Waldera says he remains committed to serving the community.

In his announcement, Waldera highlighted ongoing challenges facing the county and emphasized the importance of collaboration among local leaders to find practical solutions. He stated that his goal is to maintain and improve the quality of life for Jackson County residents through dedicated, professional law enforcement services.

Waldera officially launched his 2026 reelection campaign and thanked the community for its continued support.
