Jane, 77, passed away peacefully with her loving husband Randy by her side on December 24, 2025, from Parkinson’s and dementia at Pigeon Falls Health Care Center.
Jane was born June 5, 1948, to Jerome and Thelma (McCune) Jacobson at Whitehall Hospital. She graduated from Osseo High School in 1966, then attended Eau Claire Technical College for Key Punch Operator. She worked at the Bank of Madison from 1967 to 1970. She returned to Osseo in 1970 and worked at Luther Hospital for many years, before becoming a stay at home mom for two adventurous boys. Once they became older, she started her 18 year career at People State Bank in Augusta, where she made many friends over the years.
Jane met Randy in 1970, they fell in love and were married on June 24, 1972. After they had two children, Kyle in 1977 and Kevin in 1982, they lived on the Julien family farm for the next 46 years. She loved being around family and friends, and caring for her large gardens and flowerbeds at the farm, especially with the help of her brother Ken.
Jane and Randy loved hosting the Pierce/Julien family Thanksgiving dinner for over 40 years. Jane loved to travel to go watch Kyle and Kevin’s school activities, and spending a week at her sister Judy’s house. Randy and Jane traveled all over the U.S. watching PBR bull riding, sightseeing in Vegas and watching the Wisconsin Badgers play. At one point, Randy drove Jane 200 miles just to eat brunch at Eagle River, Wisconsin.
Jane is survived by Randy, her husband of 53 years; children Kyle (Abby) Julien, and Kevin (Bethany) Julien; grandchildren Boone, Beau, Maddie, Hunter and Raegan, brothers, Nels (Dianna) Jacobson, Ken Jacobson; brother-in-law Darrell Stellingwerf, sisters-in-law, Jan Pierce, Connie Julien; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Thelma Jacobson; infant sister Joanne; sister Judy Stellingwerf; sister-in-law Mary Anne Jacobson; brothers-in-law, Larry Julien, Sten Pierce; nephew Kirby Pierce; and father and mother-in-law, George and Lorette Julien.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in Augusta. A celebration of life will be held later in the year.
Jane’s final place of rest will be in the Town of Cleveland Cemetery, rural Fairchild.
