On the evening of Friday, November 22, 2024, Wisconsin State Patrol arrested 51-year-old Daniel David Peterson of Janesville for his fourth OWI offense. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop at mile marker 166 southbound on I-39/90 in Rock County at 8:35 PM.

A trooper observed signs of impairment and detected an odor of intoxicants after stopping Peterson’s vehicle. Peterson admitted to consuming 3-4 beers. Following Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, he was taken into custody for operating while intoxicated.

As per Wisconsin Supreme Court guidelines, Peterson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
