The Jackson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a death reported Friday morning in the Town of Irving. According to authorities, deputies were called to a residence around 10:00 after a report of a suspicious vehicle. The caller asked for help checking on the resident after being unable to reach them by phone. While deputies were already responding, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting an unidentified person inside the home. Deputies responding requested additional assistance from the Wisconsin State Patrol. Investigators say they determined a person inside the residence had become unresponsive and stopped breathing. Ambulances were called to the scene and lifesaving efforts were attempted, but the individual was pronounced dead. The Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities say there is no threat to the public.
