Kenneth Douglas Wogh, age 67, of Taylor, died on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 in the Pine View
Care Center in Black River Falls.
Kenneth was born on November 4, 1958 in Sioux City, IA to Peter and Maria (Dickhaut) Wogh.
He graduated from the Taylor High School in 1977. During his years at THS, he was known for
his easy smile, sense of humor and fun-loving nature. He was musically talented and played
multiple instruments in concert band, marching band, pep band and jazz band. His love of music
stayed with him throughout his life. Top 40 music from the nineteen seventies and eighties were
the soundtrack of his life and became his time capsule. Ken was also very involved in 4-H and
FFA and exhibited many wood-working and forestry projects at Jackson County Fair. He was
especially proud of his prize-winning hogs and showmanship trophies.
After high school, Ken entered the U.S. Army and was stationed in Seoul, South Korea for
several years. While he lived in Texas briefly after completing his military service, he spent the
majority of his adult life living in and around Taylor. He worked on the family farm and had
various jobs over the years after the family stopped farming. A lifelong bachelor, Ken
appreciated the natural world, taking pleasure in meteor showers, full moons and fall foliage. His
many interests included shooting pool, snowmobiling, golf and watching any and all sports. He
followed the Milwaukee Brewers religiously and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. There were
no half measures with Ken; he was fully invested and “all in” whatever he did. His competitive
nature found an outlet watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Jeopardy was a love he shared
with his mother, and he was by her bedside watching Jeopardy every day with her throughout her
final months.
Ken was a member of the Trempealeau Valley Lutheran Church, where he had been confirmed
in his teens. In later years, he faithfully attended Sunday worship and made sure his Aunt Lydia
always had a ride to church.
Kenneth is survived by his father, Peter Wogh; his brother, Michael (Christine) Wogh; his
sisters, Barbara (Robert) Sprau and Therisa (Chad) Gibbons as well as a host of aunts, uncles,
cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Wogh and his
sister, Margaret (Raymond) Burnett.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. in the Trempealeau
Valley Lutheran Church with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery both in rural Taylor. Pastor
Elden Simonson will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Military rites will be conducted by the Hanson-Lien American Legion Post 368 of Hixton-
Taylor.
The Jack Funeral Home in Blair is assisting the family with arrangements.
