Kurt A. Riemer

Kurt Allen Riemer, age 33, of rural Pigeon Falls, passed away unexpectedly on
Friday, January 31, 2025.
Kurt was born on March 10, 1991 in Black River Falls to Donna (Noble) Colburn
and Todd Riemer. Kurt was the father to five beautiful children and the life long
partner of JuLora Barilani.
Kurt was a man of multiple interests. If it had wheels, a motor or some sort of
computer system, Kurt always found a way to make a project out of it. He was a
hippie born in the wrong decade. Kurt always tried his best to maintain a green
thumb by reducing, reusing and recycling. He had a love for gardening and
living off the earth and even took this to extremes by cultivating his own worms.
Above all else, he loved his family and he would probably say his favorite day in
life was the day he became a Dad.
His children loved spending time working on projects with him, going on 4-
wheeler rides, doing yoga, taking naps and swinging on the swings. Kurt will be
remembered as a hard working, trustworthy, honest and give you the shirt off his
back man.
Kurt never attended college and in fact, slept through most of high school,
however, he was a work-a-holic. He spent the majority of his career at Nelson
Global but spent the last two years at Source Energy. Everyone he met became
his friend. His smile, laugh and jokes will be greatly missed.
Kurt is survived by the love of his life, JuLora Barilani; five children, HaiLei
Kampa (14), Lucian Riemer-Hoffman (7), Isabelle Riemer (4), Gideon Riemer (2)
and Mayce Riemer (9 months); his parents, Donna (James) Colburn of
Dorchester and Todd Riemer of Galesville; siblings, Bobby Jo Meraz Martinez of
Alma Center, Summer (Kody) Gahnz of Taylor, Betty Colburn of Stanley,
Shannene (Dallas) Colburn of New Richmond and Alicia (Keaton) Colburn of
Withee; his mother-in-law, June Abrahamson of Pigeon Falls; his father-in-law,
Tom (Patty) Barilani of Holmen; siblings-in-law, Mike (Tracy) of Beaver Dam,
Amanda (Wade) of Sun Prairie, Ashley Stephens of Menasha, Justin (Sarah)
Stephens of Waupaca and Logan (Sarah) Barilani of Mabel, MN; many nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends (too many to name, but all equally
loved by Kurt.)
Kurt was preceded in death by baby Riemer (2019); his grandparents, Ivy Noble,
Charles Noble, Otto Riemer and Patricia Riemer; his siblings, Erik and Tyler
Riemer; his aunt Ruth and a brother-in-law, Brandon Berg.

Kurt had requested that we honor his life by having a party. This celebration will
be held later this summer.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 1-3 p.m. in the Jack
Funeral Home in Blair for family and friends to remember the wonderful human
being that Kurt was. A time of sharing memories will be held at 2:00 p.m.
