The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is reminding the public about an upcoming online fisheries management meeting focused on walleye in northwestern Wisconsin.
DNR staff will host the virtual presentation Thursday, February 26th at 6 p.m. The session will cover current walleye population status, stocking strategies, what makes good walleye habitat, and the types of waterbodies where the species thrives.
These meetings give the public a chance to learn more about game fish management and connect with DNR fisheries staff working across the state. The event is the final installment in the DNR’s Northern Fisheries Management Spotlight Series.
