Lowe Sentenced to 12 Years

Aaron Lowe will spend seven years in prison and five years on extended supervision for the burglary and battery charges of which he was convicted. The 29 year-old of Hixton was sentenced in Jackson County Circuit Court Friday for his role in the 2021 incident. According to the criminal complaint, the victim found Lowe and his wife Jolene stealing from her home in August of that year. While trying to flee the scene, Lowe threw 2x4s and a three-pound rock, striking the victim in the head. Aaron and Jolene were later arrested at their home, after a standoff. Judge Daniel Diehn also sentenced Lowe to four years for threatening to kill a social worker who was working on a child protection matter for Lowe’s son. A sentence to be served after the burglary sentence. In court Friday, one victim said they viewed what Lowe had done as attempted murder. Jackson County Assistant District Attorney Jeri Marsolek noted Lowe has 25 criminal convictions and has been placed on probation seven times. Judge Diehn said the prison time was needed to protect the public, telling Aaron he didn’t believe he could be properly rehabilitated in the community. That after multiple failed attempts to do so, there hasn’t been a commitment to follow through with any of kind. Diehn also handed out several sentences for felony bail jumping, possession of methamphetamine, and second degree recklessly endangering safety in cases from Jackson and Clark Counties. Those sentences will be served concurrently with the other sentences. 36-year-old Jolene Lowe was sentenced Wednesday to five years in prison and three years of supervised release for her role in the incident.
