Lynda Eddy, 86, passed away on February 3, 2026, at Pineview Care Center in Black River Falls.
Lynda was born on September 14, 1939, to William and Lydia (Hove) Kuberra in Humbird, Wisconsin.
Lynda married Howard Eddy on June 25, 1960 and they enjoyed 60 years together before Howard's passing
December 17, 2020. Howard and Lynda lived with her mother, Lydia, in Humbird, before moving south to the
Janesville/Beloit/Edgerton areas, with Lydia, where they started their family. They had 3 children: (Kevin,
Kent, and Leesha) and returned to the Black River Falls area while the children were still young, settling in the
Hatfield area. Lynda worked at the Burnstad's bakery, Rural Insurance, and Millis Transfer (in payroll), where
she worked until retiring. While Lynda worked outside the home, her heart was always with family and friends
who became family.
Lynda loved NASCAR racing and could be seen at local racetracks for many years, where her eldest, Kevin,
raced. She and Howard were Mom and Dad to many in the racing family, and they both cherished the roles.
Music and dancing was a pleasure of hers and you could often find her and Howard at local establishments
cutting up the dancefloor. If music wasn't playing when she got there, it definitely would be once she arrived.
She did her best to teach her children and grandchildren the joy of music and dancing, with great success.
Family gatherings were huge with Lynda. Cookouts in the summer, with kids running around and playing, while
parents, friends and adult kids sitting around a bonfire was her happy place. She was known to surprise those in
attendance with squirt gun and other random shenanigans as the night progressed and always brought laughter
to the group. Holiday gatherings, especially Christmas Eve, included close friends as well as family, with an
open door to all and plenty of food and drink.
Lynda was the heart of the family and the glue holding children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren
together. No one ever questioned if they were loved. Open affection was her love language, first teaching
Howard how to speak it before passing it on to the other generations. Friends and “adopted" family were
brought into the love, as well.
She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, as well as her precious husband, Howard, who called her
“his bride" until his passing.
She is survived by her son, Kevin (Penny) Eddy and their children, Nicole, Brandy, Lydia, Casey, and Cassie
Eddy; son, Kent (Valerie) Eddy and their children, Dannyelle (Jared) Radcliffe, Brit (Amy) Eddy, and Nathaniel
(Siobhan) Eddy; and daughter, Leesha Eddy-Dukes and her child, Alida (Riley) Dukes. She also leaves behind
17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Lynda’s memory will forever be in the hearts of her family, and she will live on in the many people she touched
with her love and kindness.
A celebration of life is being planned for the spring.
Buswell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
