Tehrance Dionne Matwick, 28 years of age, from Winnipeg, Manitoba has been arrested by the
Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st
offense, with one child in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Thursday, August 21, 2024, at approximately 7:24 PM a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper was
informed of a female party walking along I94 west bound who appeared to be crying. Troopers
responded to the location and made contact with two female parties along I94 who had walked from
a vehicle that was located on the shoulder of west bound I94 just ahead of their location near
Woodville. Through their investigation Troopers learned that the SUV pulled over alongside of the
road because of an argument that was taking place inside of the SUV. Once the SUV stopped the
two females exited the vehicle and started walking while the driver and an 8-year child remained in
the SUV. When talking to the driver of the SUV the Trooper observed signs of impairment and a
subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety test, showed the driver, Tehrance
Dionne Matwick from Winnipeg, Manitoba was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence
1st offense with a minor passenger. Mr. Matwick was arrested and transported to Western
Wisconsin Health Hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood. Mr. Matwick was then transported to
the St. Croix County jail and turned over to staff there. The child, age 8, was released to child
protective services from St. Croix County until family from Canada could arrive to pick her up.
