The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection is accepting applications for the Meat Processor Infrastructure Grant through February 23, 2026. The program is designed to grow Wisconsin’s meat industry and strengthen the long-term viability of the state’s livestock sector.

The grants support licensed meat processors looking to expand harvest capacity or increase production by at least 20 percent. Eligible costs include construction, equipment, engineering, food safety consulting, and related expenses.

DATCP will award grants of up to 50-thousand dollars for projects lasting up to two years, with a required dollar-for-dollar match. A total of 700-thousand dollars is available statewide.

Applications and details are available through DATCP. Grant recipients will be announced in the coming months.
